In presenting Echolink and IRLP as technologies of amateur radio,as something which is a part of the advancement of the hobby,it is useful to have a better understanding of what it actually is,and to also open the discussion as to why Radio Amateurs should use it.
Both Echolink and IRLP are systems that use voice over internet protocols (VOIP).
