Both Echolink and IRLP are systems that use voice over internet protocols (VOIP). By peterg3pho,on October 20th,2011% David,M0EQD and myself spent this morning at the club HQ and finally got rid of the TVI problem that has prevented us from using the shack for over a year. In the end it turned out to be an old terrestrial antenna that was still plugged into the Sports Club DVD player and then looped into the Sky box. We tried filters on all coax leads at first and reduced the TVI a little but not enough to satisfy us. Taking out the TV antenna downlead solved the problem as it was the culprit that was picking up our RF and carrying it down to the Sky Box a couple of hundred feet away. Kirimati (Christmas Island) in the Central Pacific SARC members were kind enough to support CDXC in their efforts to raise money for the forthcomingT32C DXpedition to East Kiribati by making individual purchases of raffle tickets through the club secretary (himself a member of CDXC) and the club as a body purchasing some 20 tickets, all in the hope of winning the excellent FT950 transceiver prize!
